Tarigidia is a genus of South African and Puerto Rican plants in the grass family.Stent, Sydney Margaret. 1932. Bulletin of Miscellaneous Information Kew 1932(3): 151

Some authors have suggested that the genus might be of hybrid origin: Anthephora × Digitaria.
