:Hi {{u|SoWhy}} and {{u|BlueMoonset}}, apologies for thé delayed reply. The hook choice is fine with me and I made the edits to the lead as requested; however I got hung up on paraphrasing the quotes, finding my own paraphrases—to be quite honest—less accurate than the quotations (consequently I have reverted my own efforts). As the quoted text appears only sparingly and are not strictly speaking a policy violation, I’m wondering if we can just leave it be for now as a relatively minor imperfection; after all DYK is meant to highlight new(...ish) content rather necessarily GA or FA standard content.

:Sorry again for the delay, had hoped I’d find some inspiration on a fix. Innisfree987 (talk) 05:32, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

::{{re|Innisfree987}} You are of course right as to the nature of DYK and the standards, so I won't insist on it. I tried a [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jamil_Smith_(journalist)&diff=841667252&oldid=841654911 partial paraphrase] myself, see it you like it, feel free to revert if not. 16px Good to go with ALT1.
