... that Rondebosch Fountain, a cast iron water trough for horses and one of the first electric street lights in South Africa, is being rebuilt in aluminium after the original was destroyed in a traffic accident in 2015? Source: "It was destroyed after a speeding car drove into it during the early hours of the morning three years ago. ... Cape Town-based foundry Heritage Castings has been responsible for the project, creating a replica of the original fountain patterns and structure. ...
