  • 16px This article, promoted to GA on 13 Feb, is new enough, long enough, well-written and well-sourced. No apparent copyvio. QPQ provided. All three hooks cited, with offline citations accepted in good faith, and in article. I like ALT1 the best, although the proper names might be distracting. Might I suggest:

:: ALT1a: ... that the defection of Padua during the Scaliger War was partly due to a Scaliger lord's open seduction of the Lord of Padua's wife?

: Of course, that doesn't get in the way of the nom. Good to go. Tenpop421 (talk) 15:18, 21 February 2025 (UTC)

:::{{ping|Tenpop421}} thanks for the suggestion, I like ALT1a a lot more than my own version. Constantine 16:06, 23 February 2025 (UTC)

:::: Brill, promoter has their choice of hook. Tenpop421 (talk) 16:09, 23 February 2025 (UTC)
