Usage

This template simplifies the use of frequently-quoted geographical reference sources. It is based on the 2011 version of the template GeoQuelle from German Wikipedia, but is not restricted to German language sources. The aim is a uniform display of the reference and simplified maintenance in the event of changes to referenced online sources. The references are taken from the subtemplate {{tl|GeoSource/list}}.

The reference is embedded as standard in in order to display them in the "References" section. However it can also be displayed as normal text (enter "ref=no").

Parameters

Syntax: [PREFIX]{{GeoSource|<1>|<2>[|<3>|<4>][|ref=no]}}[SUFFIX]

:<1>: ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for the country or ISO 3166-2 code for the country subdivision (e.g. German or Austrian federal state)

:<2>: reference used

:<3>, <4>: optional parameters for the reference

:PREFIX: optional prefix (placed as text in front of the reference)

:SUFFIX: optional suffix (placed as text behind the reference)

:REF-NAME: optional name for the reference

:ref=no: optional entry, which suppresses its display in the "References" section.
