Template:Uw-selfinfo/doc

{{Documentation subpage}}

{{substituted|auto=yes}}

This template should be used by Oversighters (it refers to suppression) when removing personal information posted by the editor in question.

:{{tlsc|Uw-selfinfo|young=no}} removes the reference to Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors and will swap the worried emoji for the standard information icon.

:{{tlsc|Uw-selfinfo|sig=no}} will not add your signature at the end of the notice.

:{{tlsc|Uw-selfinfo|icon=File link}} can be used to change the icon to a custom image.

:{{tlsc|Uw-selfinfo|2=Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you, and sorry for messing about with your edits!"

  • This standardized template conforms to guidelines by the user warnings project. You may discuss the visual appearance of these standardized templates (e.g. the image in the top-left corner) at the user warning talk page.
  • Please refer to the index of message templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.
  • Please remember to substitute the template using {{tlsc|{{#switch:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|Template:Single notice/inner|Template:Single notice=uw-preview|{{BASEPAGENAME}}}}}} rather than {{Tlc|{{#switch:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|Template:Single notice/inner|Template:Single notice=uw-preview|{{BASEPAGENAME}}}}}}.
  • To give greater detail to your message, you may add some additional text to the end of the template. Use "2=" to add additional information to the end of the notice.
