:{{done}} By the way, there is now a new template out there for automatically generating yearly college football division text. It's called {{tl|cfb division}}. The 'year' parameter is pretty self-explanatory. The 'showyear' parameter determines whether or not the year is included in the generated text. DeFaultRyan 05:29, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
Suggest expand to other divisions
It would be helpful to expand this template to include NCAA FCS, Div II, DIV II, and even NAIA rankings. I don't know much about templates--can someone take this on?--Paul McDonald (talk) 14:24, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
Replacement of Template:No.
Per :Template:No./doc, that template should only be used for comics, so shouldn't really be used here. MOS:HASH also states that the hash symbol (#) should not be used to represent "number" (again, other than in comics). I therefore propose that the following line in this template:
| label3 = Preseason {{no.}}1
be changed to:
| label3 = {{abbr|No.|Number}} 1

:{{u|Jameboy}}. Agreed. I went ahead and made this change. Jweiss11 (talk) 20:22, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
Pre-bowl seasons display a nonexistent bowl games article
I've created some older articles using this template, such as 1905 college football rankings.
The infobox automatically displays a redlinked 1905–06 bowl games row, which should not exist.
The 1934–35 NCAA football bowl games was the first with multiple bowls, I believe.
Previously, only the Rose Bowl was played. In 1902 and then from 1916 onward.
Can the infoxbox be made to not display that row for pre-bowl seasons?
