I notice that the death_cause parameter hasn't been carried over from infobox person: this strikes me as a little odd, since lots of saints are notable for the manner of their deaths (particularly in the case of martyrdom). I noticed this while editing Miroslav Bulešić: it would be useful to be able to say in the infobox that he was assassinated, as that was the reason for his beatification. If it is felt appropriate, could that parameter be added to this template? UndercoverClassicist (talk) 15:48, 8 May 2023 (UTC) UndercoverClassicist (talk) 15:48, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

Removing the influences/influencers section

This was discussed for the person infobox talkpage at Template talk:Infobox person#Significantly influenced/ significant influencers, and some people think that it should apply to here as well, as these sections are too broad and opinionated. What are your guys' thoughts? Wikieditor662 (talk) 04:25, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Description of suggested change: Change color of infobox, dependent upon religion. The use of gold as a color for the infobox is quite jarring for religions other than Christainity; for example, Islam, when use of green is more appropriate. I'm wondering if, like {{tl|Infobox religious building}}, when the religion is chosen in honored_in/venerated_in etc., that the color of the infobox change to reflect the appropriate religion. Obviously, where multiple religions honor the saint, that may cause complications; and hence the use of a default color, or main religion or denomination parameter may be appropriate. There was some very minor discussion on the color of the infobox [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Infobox_saint/Archive_2#Infobox_color here, in 2020].

Diff: I'm not experienced enough to propose the syntax required to bring about the proposed change.
