Template talk:Uw-ewpblock

{{re|QEDK}} Is there a reason that this can't be like {{tl|uw-ewblock}} and just ride off {{tl|uw-pblock}}? That'd seem to make the most sense to me. ~ Amory (utc) 19:09, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

:{{re|Amorymeltzer}} A bit confused about what exactly you're talking about. I'm logging out for the night and will be on-and-off till Saturday night, so if you want, you can change it how you see fit. --qedk (t c) 19:23, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

::No worries! I wasn't trying to foist it all on you, sorry if it came off that way! I only meant to discuss since we seem to be the only two... What I meant was that {{tl|uw-ewblock}} (and {{tl|uw-ablock}}, etc.) call {{tl|uw-block}}, which serves double-duty as a sort of meta-template for others, saving a lot of updating, etc.. I figured we could easily do the same for something like this and {{tl|uw-apblock}} (and, as you suggested, things like {{tl|uw-emailblock}} or {{tl|uw-acblock}}). I've just made that change here, swapping {{code|area}} instead of {{code|page}} and adding {{code|email}} and {{code|accountcreate}}. It [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Amorymeltzer/sandbox&oldid=938422465 looks fine]? ~ Amory (utc) 02:40, 31 January 2020 (UTC)

:::Hahah, it's alright, I got you now. What I was wondering is if the {{para|email}} and {{para|accountcreate}} are necessary, edit-warring will not result in email/ac-block afterall (and they override {{para|area}}). --qedk (t c) 11:04, 31 January 2020 (UTC)

::::Good point on the override — removed. ~ Amory (utc) 11:53, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
