Wikipedia:Template messages/Talk namespace

This template was recently updated to use {{tlx|WPBannerMeta}}, but was subsequently [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:YearsProject&diff=266066638&oldid=262657598 reverted] to a hugely bloated non-WPBM version. I do not see the justification for this, and the edit summary makes no sense: since WPBM is now used on 90% of all WikiProject banners, using it is "comply[ing] with other projects", and I don't see any functionality that could not be easily achieved with the meta-template. Why is the meta-template not considered effective in this instance? Happy‑melon 19:21, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

This template is doing weird things in populating :Category:NA-Class Years articles of NA-importance (almost 70k there). For example, :Category talk:0s BC establishments is a member of :Category:Category-Class Years articles and :Category:NA-importance Years articles but shows up as an NA-class for that category. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 10:46, 22 September 2015 (UTC)

: For example, Draft talk:2008 in Jordan is in :Category:Draft-Class Years articles and :Category:Unknown-importance Years articles but not accepting Draft classes for the importance/class subsection so it's randomly in :Category:NA-Class Years articles of Unknown-importance. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 23:01, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
