- Kitano Tenmangū (Kamigyo, Kyoto) -- Another Sōhonsha of Tenman-gū
- {{ill|Nagaoka Tenmangū|ja|長岡天満宮}} (Nagaokakyo, Kyoto)
- {{ill|Misode Tenmangū|ja|御袖天満宮}} (Onomichi, Hiroshima)
- Osaka Tenmangū (Kita-ku, Osaka)

- Yabo Tenmangū (Kunitachi, Tokyo)

Dazaifu Tenman-gū and Kitano Tenmangū are often grouped together with another of these shrines and called the "Three Great Tenjin Shrines", but there is no generally accepted criterion for the selection of a third shrine.{{Cite web |last=デジタル大辞泉プラス |title=大生郷天満宮とは? 意味や使い方 |url=https://kotobank.jp/word/%E5%A4%A7%E7%94%9F%E9%83%B7%E5%A4%A9%E6%BA%80%E5%AE%AE-1716255 |access-date=2023-01-27 |website=コトバンク |language=ja}}
