Terara is a suburb of Nowra in the City of Shoalhaven in New South Wales, Australia.{{NSW GNR|id=cc3be5f7-ddee-4f2a-a86a-b666bb5cb7a3|title=Terara|accessdate=21 October 2023}}{{cite web|url=https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/6076729#map=14/-34.8695/150.6286|publisher =OpenStreetMap|title=Terara|accessdate=11 December 2018}} It lies on the southern bank of the Shoalhaven about 3 km to the north-east of Nowra. At the {{CensusAU|2021}}, it had a population of 305. Terara is the original settlement of Nowra before being flooded and the township moved slightly west.
