Thalassoma newtoni is a species of marine fish in the family Labridae, the wrasses.{{WRMS species|273586|Thalassoma newtoni (Osório, 1891)||14 January 2019}} It occurs in the waters around São Tomé and Príncipe, and possibly along the West African coast between Ghana and Angola.{{FishBase | genus = Thalassoma | species = newtoni| month = October| year = 2013}} It inhabits rocky reefs to depths around {{convert|40|m|ft|abbr=on}}.
