The film premiered at the South by Southwest Festival on March 8, 2025 to positive reviews from critics. Premise

"When the FinCEN's(a department of the Department of the Treasury) Director Raymond King is killed by unknown assassins and "find the accountant" is discovered on his arm during an autopsy, Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina is forced to contact Christian Wolff, the Accountant to solve Raymond's murder. With the help of his estranged but highly lethal brother Brax, Christian applies his brilliant mind and less-than-legal methods to piece together the unsolved puzzle. In September 2021, O'Connor revealed plans to expand The Accountant into a trilogy of movies.
