Censorship

When The Floating College was released, many states and cities in the United States had censor boards that could require cuts or other eliminations before the film could be shown. Consistent with prohibition, the Kansas censor board ordered the elimination of a scene showing a travelling bag with liquor running out.{{cite journal |last= |first= |author-link= |title=Eliminations Ordered in 1928 by Kansas Censor Board with Woman Members |journal=Variety |volume=94 |issue=6 |page=5 |publisher=Variety, Inc. |location=New York City |date=1929-02-20 |url=https://archive.org/details/variety94-1929-02/page/n138/mode/1up |access-date=5 May 2025}}
