The Montana Standard is a daily newspaper in Butte, Montana, owned by Lee Enterprises.

History

On September 12, 1928 the Anaconda Standard's Butte edition merged with Butte Miner to form The Montana Standard.{{cite web |title=The Anaconda standard |url=https://search.worldcat.org/title/10309820 |publisher=World Cat |access-date=17 January 2024}} At the time it was owned by the Anaconda Company.{{cite web |title=About The Anaconda standard. Starting July 11, 2023, the print edition of the newspaper will be reduced to three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
