The Uncertainty Has Settled is a documentary about climate, energy and agriculture. Produced and directed by Dutch filmmaker Marijn Poels, the film was released in 2017.
The name of the film is an allusion to the assertion that "the science has settled", made by people such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Al Gore.{{citation needed|date=September 2022}}
In the film, Poels visits regular climate scientists, as well as individuals who reject climate science, and lets the viewer come to their own conclusions. Those visited include climate deniers Piers Corbyn, British astrophysicist and conspiracy theorist, and British/ American physicist Freeman Dyson.{{cite web | last=Verheggen | first=Bart | title=A critical look at "The uncertainty has settled" documentary by Marijn Poels | website=My view on climate change | date=17 July 2017 | url=https://ourchangingclimate.wordpress.com/2017/07/17/a-critical-look-at-the-uncertainty-has-settled-documentary-by-marijn-poels/ | access-date=21 September 2022}}{{cite web | first=Andrew |last=Reid | title="The Uncertainty Has Settled", a feature film shot using Magic Lantern raw video - Filmmaking Gear and Camera Reviews | website=EOSHD.com - Filmmaking Gear and Camera Reviews | date=10 October 2017 | url=https://www.eoshd.com/news/uncertainty-settled-feature-film-shot-using-magic-lantern-raw-video/ | access-date=21 September 2022}}{{cite web | last=Jakobs | first=Jan | title=The Uncertainty Has Settled | website=Marijn Poels | date=3 March 2017 | url=https://www.marijnpoels.com/single-post/2017/03/03/the-uncertainty-has-settled-a-deadly-earnest-search | access-date=21 September 2022| others=Original review - De Doorbraak / Written by: Jan Jacobs, politics and science journalist}}
