Thomas Gorges (priest)

Thomas Gorges, D.D. (13 February 1603{{snd}}12 December 1667) was an English priest in the 17th century.[https://www.westminster-abbey.org/abbey-commemorations/commemorations/thomas-gorges Westminster Abbey]
Gorges was born in Wraxall, Somerset, and educated at The Queen's College, Oxford.[https://www.british-history.ac.uk/alumni-oxon/1500-1714/pp569-599 Alumni Oxonienses 1500-1714, Gilpin-Greenhaugh] He became a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, in 1629. He became Archdeacon of Winchester{{Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanae |last=Horn |first=Joyce M. |period=1541–1857|volume=3|pages=86–87}} and a Canon of Westminster in 1661, holding both positions until his death.
