Thomas Simpson (Kent, 1582 – {{circa|lk=no|1628}}) was an English composer who worked in Germany. Simpson, a generation younger than William Brade is first heard of at Heidelberg in 1608.Four and twenty fiddlers: the violin at the English court, 1540-1690 - Page 155 Peter Holman - 1996 -"William Brade and Thomas Simpson are examples of prominent Elizabethan composers of instrumental music ...
