Tim Genis
Tim Genis is an American timpanist. He is the principal timpanist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 2003.{{cite news| url=http://www.boston.com/yourlife/home/articles/2005/06/15/two_bso_musicians/ | work=The Boston Globe | title=Two BSO musicians | first1=Mindy | last1=Pollack-Fusi | date=June 15, 2005}} He was the assistant timpanist of the BSO from 1993 to 2003 and the associate timpanist and assistant principal percussionist of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 1993. Genis holds an undergraduate degree from the Juilliard School where he studied with Roland Kohloff.{{cite news
