Background
The song's chorus was written by Jex, which she posted a video of herself singing over a piano riff on her TikTok account with the caption "Which producer do you hear finishing this?". The video attracted the attention of Garrix, who reached out to Jex and developed her chorus into a complete song: "I had so many people send it to me, and when I listened, I heard so many directions this song could go.
