It was built in about 1400{{Cite web|url=http://www.tomigusuku-okinawa.jp/history003.html|title=Tomigusuku City Tourism Association|website=Tomigusuku|language=ja-JP|access-date=2018-08-13}} by Ououso, then King of Nanzan, and is now a ruined castle.
