Toutle is an unincorporated community in Cowlitz County, Washington.

Etymology

Geography

Toutle is located {{convert|10|mi|km}} east of Castle Rock along Washington State Route 504, which is also known as the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway.{{cite web|url=http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=47.17.655 |title=RCW 47.17.655: State Route 504 |author=Washington State Legislature |author-link=Washington State Legislature |accessdate=12 June 2014}} Toutle is near Mount St. Helens and the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, which lies at the end of the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway.

Education

The Toutle community is part of the Toutle Lake School District, a K–12 school district of about 694 students{{Cite web |title=Toutle Lake School District |url=https://www.toutlesd.org/ |access-date=2023-05-12 |website=www.toutlesd.org}} that serves the communities of Toutle and Silver Lake, Washington.
