Triple U Buffalo Ranch

The Triple U Buffalo Ranch is a {{convert|50000|acre|adj=on}} ranch in northern Stanley County, South Dakota. Formerly known as Standing Butte Ranch, it was used for location shooting in the 1990 movie Dances With Wolves{{cite book|last=Fanselow|first=Julie|title=Traveling the Lewis and Clark Trail|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=OmeD7zCK0PsC&pg=PA87|year=2007|publisher=Globe Pequot Press|isbn=978-0-7627-4437-4|page=87}} and TNT's 1994 film Lakota Woman: Siege at Wounded Knee. The ranch runs a closed herd of about 2,000 bison and offers trophy hunts for bison as well as several other indigenous species.

The ranch was owned by L.
