History
The Troup-Harris Regional Library officially began in 2007 after neighboring Coweta County left the system in 2007 to begin their own.{{cite news|title=2007 Athens-Clarke County Library/Athens Regional Library Board Minutes|url=https://archive.org/stream/2007ACCLARLSBoardMinutes/2007ACCL-ARLSBoardMinutes_djvu.txt|accessdate=8 April 2017|agency=ATHENS -CLARKE COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD|date=January 9, 2007}}
In December 2016 the library system opened their first new building for the city of Hoganville. This library was the result of a $1.12 million SPLOST fund that was matched by $2 million from the state of Georgia.{{cite news|last1=Hill|first1=Alicia B.|title=Hogansville Opens New Library|url=http://m.lagrangenews.com/2016/12/14/hogansville-opens-new-library/|accessdate=8 April 2017|agency=LaGrange Daily News|date=December 14, 2016}} This new library has over 11,200 square feet of space for book stacks, meeting areas, and computers, and
replaced the old 3,000 square foot building which was too small to house the branch's entire collection.{{cite news|last1=Jones|first1=Tyler H|title=Hogansville library project moves forward|url=http://www.lagrangenews.com/2015/10/21/hogansville-library-project-moves-forward/|accessdate=8 April 2017|agency=LaGrange Daily News|date=October 21, 2015}} Groundbreaking for a second library, to replace the current Harris County Library, began on March 21, 2017.{{cite news|title=Breaking new ground|url=http://www.georgialibraries.org/news/pdf/GPLSNews0617.pdf|accessdate=20 July 2017|agency=GPLS News|publisher=Georgia Public Library Service|date=June 2017|page=6}}
