"Trust Issues" is a song recorded by Canadian rapper Drake. Originally released as a free download on June 21, 2011, it was released in tandem with his first compilation album Care Package on August 2, 2019, by OVO Sound. Musically, it is a slow, melodic R&B track that explores complexities of trust and loyalty. "Trust Issues" contains elements of "I'm on One".
It was written by Drake, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Nikhil Seetharam, N. Cobey and its producers T-Minus and Noah "40" Shebib. Commercially, it peaked at number 63 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart, number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and number 90 on the UK Streaming Chart. It was certified silver in the United Kingdom and platinum in Australia. The song was covered and remixed by several musicians, including Canadian singers the Weeknd and Justin Bieber.
Background and release
"Trust Issues" was one of the four tracks taken from Drake's 2011 studio album, Take Care, released via his October's Very Own blog as standalone cuts and were formerly unavailable on music streaming services. Written by Drake, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Nikhil Seetharam, Rick Ross, N. On August 1, 2019, Drake took to Instagram to announce the release of his first compilation album, Care Package.
