Tuber is a genus in the fungal family Tuberaceae, with estimated molecular dating to the end of the Jurassic period (156 Mya).{{Cite journal|last=Maccarrone|first=Mauro|date=2020-12-01|title=Phytocannabinoids and endocannabinoids: different in nature|journal=Rendiconti Lincei. New discoveries
