Twirl is a chocolate bar manufactured by the British chocolate brand Cadbury. Twirl was invented in Dublin by Cadbury Ireland, and launched there in 1985 as a single-finger bar. It was released in the UK two years later as a twin-finger bar.{{cite web |url=https://www.cadbury.co.uk/our-story?timeline=1987 |title=Cadbury History Timeline: 1987 |access-date=2 October 2022 |publisher=Cadbury |archive-date=2 October 2022 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20221002120418/https://www.cadbury.co.uk/our-story?timeline=1987 |url-status=live }} It has been marketed internationally since the 1990s and is now one of the best-selling chocolate Cadbury products.{{Cite web |url=http://www.cadbury.co.uk/contact/PressCentre/Brands/Chocolate/Pages/Twirl.aspx |title=Cadbury: Twirl |access-date=2011-08-24 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110907143913/http://www.cadbury.co.uk/contact/PressCentre/Brands/Chocolate/Pages/Twirl.aspx |archive-date=2011-09-07 |url-status=dead }} Twirl consists of two Flake-style fingers covered in milk chocolate.

Variations

Cadbury also produce a snack sized version called Twirl Bites, which come in a bag containing several smaller Twirl-like chocolates.

As of 2023 there is also a multipack version containing 5 single Twirl bars. This 5-pack weighs 107.5 grams, each bar weighing exactly 21.5 grams. This is a reduction in weight relative to the previously available 34 gram, 4-bar multipacks of 21%.

In late 2019, Cadbury launched an orange flavoured variety of Twirl in the UK. Many stores struggled to keep stock of the bar, repeatedly selling out due to the high demand.{{Cite web |url=https://www.conveniencestore.co.uk/retailers-struggle-to-meet-demand-for-limited-edition-twirl-orange/598883.article |title=Retailers struggle to meet demand for limited edition Twirl Orange |access-date=2020-08-21 |archive-date=2020-09-28 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200928054131/https://www.conveniencestore.co.uk/retailers-struggle-to-meet-demand-for-limited-edition-twirl-orange/598883.article |url-status=live }} In August 2020, Cadbury announced the return of the Orange Twirl. This is by no means an exhaustive listing of Twirl flavours, as the Iced Latte Twirl is also known to be sold in Australia.
