Typha capensis is an aquatic plant known from southern and eastern Africa as far north as Uganda.Brown, Nicholas Edward. Flora Capensis 7: 32. 1897. It has also been reported from Brazil.[http://eol.org/pages/526499/maps Encyclopedia of Life, Typha capensis]
