UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Till (also known as UFC Fight Night 191 and UFC on ESPN+ 49 and UFC Vegas 36) was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on September 4, 2021, at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, United States.{{Cite web|url=https://www.mmafighting.com/2021/8/2/22605692/ufc-moves-sept-4-event-london-las-vegas-ariane-lipski-replaces-taila-santos-mandy-bohm|title=UFC moves Sept. 4 event from London to Las Vegas, Ariane Lipski replaces Taila Santos vs. Mandy Bohm|publisher=mmafighting.com|author=Guilherme Cruz|date=2021-08-02|access-date=2021-08-02}}

Background

While never officially announced by the organization, the promotion initially wanted to contest the event in London. It would have marked the promotion's first event in the United Kingdom since UFC Fight Night: Till vs. Masvidal in March 2019, as well as the first country other than the United Arab Emirates to host an international event after the pandemic effects began on mixed martial arts.{{Cite web|url=https://www.mmamania.com/2021/6/4/22519423/report-darren-till-vs-derek-brunson-main-event-expected-to-be-moved-to-london-for-sept-4-ufc-mma|title=Darren Till vs. Derek Brunson main event expected to be moved to London for Sept. 4|publisher=mmamania.com|author=Dan Hiergesell|date=2021-06-04|access-date=2021-08-02}} However, negotiations with the British officials fizzled amongst COVID-19 protocols and the promotion turned to their home base of Las Vegas.

A middleweight bout between Derek Brunson and former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger Darren Till headlined the event.{{Cite web|author=Ryan Harkness|date=2021-08-07|title=Brunson vs. Till to headline Sept. 4 UFC Event|url=https://www.mmamania.com/2021/8/7/22614668/confirmed-derek-brunson-vs-darren-till-to-headline-september-4th-ufc-fight-night|access-date=2021-08-08|publisher=mmamania.com}} They were originally expected to serve as the main event for a planned event on August 14, but the date was scrapped.{{Cite web|url=https://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/31435609/ufc-close-finalizing-darren-derek-brunson-bout-aug-14|title=UFC close to finalizing Darren Till-Derek Brunson bout for Aug. 14|work=espn.com|author=Brett Okamoto|date=2021-05-12|access-date=2021-05-12}}
