{{short description|Planned document standard for global electronic trade within UN/CEFACT}}

UNeDocs, or United Nations electronic Trade Documents, was a planned document standard for global electronic trade within UN/CEFACT. The project was suspended and placed under review in 2009 by the UN/CEFACT Bureau.{{cite web |url=http://www.unece.org/etrades/unedocs |title=United Nations electronic Trade Documents |last=Dubner |first=Stephen J. |publisher=The New York Times Company |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20090929183151/http://www.unece.org/etrades/unedocs |archivedate=2009-09-29 }}

UNeDocs' goal was to provide a single adaptable electronic document for trade transactions.{{cite book|last=United Nations Economic Commission for Europe|title=Sharing the gains of globalization in the new security environment : the challenges to trade facilitation|url=https://archive.org/details/sharinggainsglob00euro|url-access=limited|date=2003|publisher=United Nations|location=New York [u.a.]|isbn=92-1-116889-9|page=[https://archive.org/details/sharinggainsglob00euro/page/n429 375]}} Due to the standardizations, users could automate various documentation tasks.

Later on, a UNeDocs 2.0 was passed, and now plays a responsibility in the (CBRDM) Cross Border Reference Data Model.

In the complicated process, UNeDocs is part of National Data Harmonization and Cross Border Data Exchange
