Ubu co-produced many of its shows with Paramount Television and in later years, DreamWorks Television.

Ubu's mascot is Goldberg's dog Ubu Roi, a black Labrador Retriever that he had in college and subsequently traveled the world with. The closing tag for Ubu Productions is a photograph of Ubu Roi with a frisbee in his mouth, taken in the Tuileries Garden close to the Louvre Museum in Paris. Along with the picture is Goldberg himself saying "Sit, Ubu, sit! Good dog!", followed by a bark created by the sound engineer working on the closing tag.{{cite AV media |people=Gary David Goldberg |date=January 30, 2007 |title=Gary David Goldberg Interview | type=Podcast |language=English |url=https://interviews.televisionacademy.com/interviews/gary-david-goldberg |access-date=January 2, 2024 |time=11:43 |location=Brentwood, CA |publisher=Television Academy Foundation }}
