Ukraine was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Bird of Pray", written by Danylo Leshchynskyi, Fedir Khodakov and Valentyn Leshchynskyi, and performed by themselves as Ziferblat. The Ukrainian participating broadcaster, {{lang|uk-Latn|Suspilne|i=no}}, organised the national final {{lang|uk-Latn|Vidbir}} 2025 in order to select its entry for the contest.

Background

{{main|Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest}}

Prior to the 2025 contest, the National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU) until 2016, and {{lang|uk-Latn|Suspilne|i=no}} since 2017, had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest representing Ukraine 19 times since NTU's first entry {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2003|t=in 2003}}.{{cite web |title=Ukraine Country Profile |url=http://www.eurovision.tv/page/history/by-country/country?country=38 |access-date=20 December 2015 |website=eurovision.tv|publisher=European Broadcasting Union (EBU)}} It had won the contest on three occasions: {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2004|t=in 2004}} with the song "Wild Dances" performed by Ruslana, {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2016|t=in 2016}} with "1944" by Jamala, and {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2022|t=in 2022}} with the song "Stefania" performed by Kalush Orchestra. It had been the runner-up in the contest on two occasions: {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2007|t=in 2007}} with the song "Dancing Lasha Tumbai" performed by Verka Serduchka and {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2008|t=in 2008}} with the song "Shady Lady" performed by Ani Lorak. Following the introduction of semi-finals in 2004, Ukraine had managed to qualify to final in every contest it participated in thus far. Its least successful result had been 24th place, which was achieved {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2017|t=in 2017}} with the song "Time" performed by O.Torvald. In {{esccnty|Ukraine|y=2024|t=2024}}, "Teresa & Maria" performed by Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil placed third.

As part of its duties as participating broadcaster, {{lang|uk-Latn|Suspilne|i=no}} organises the selection of its entry in the Eurovision Song Contest and broadcasts the event in the country. {{lang|uk-Latn|Suspilne|i=no}} confirmed its intentions to participate at the 2025 contest on 10 September 2024.{{Cite web |last=Jiandani |first=Sanjay (Sergio) |date=2024-09-10 |title=Ukraine: Suspilne confirms participation at Eurovision 2025 |url=https://esctoday.com/195964/ukraine-suspilne-confirms-participation-at-eurovision-2025/ |access-date=2024-12-16 |website=ESCToday |language=en-US}} In the past, the broadcaster had alternated between both internal selections and national finals in order to select its entry. Between 2022 and 2024, {{lang|uk-Latn|Suspilne|i=no}} had set up national finals with several artists to choose both the song and performer to compete at Eurovision, with both the public and a panel of jury members involved in the selection. The method was continued to select its 2025 entry.{{Cite web |last=Granger |first=Anthony |date=2024-09-13 |title=Ukraine: Tina Karol Music Producer for Vidbir 2025 |url=https://eurovoix.com/2024/09/13/tina-karol-music-producer-vidbir-2025/ |access-date=2024-12-16 |website=Eurovoix }}

==Detailed voting results==

Each participating broadcaster assembles a five-member jury panel consisting of music industry professionals who are citizens of the country they represent. Each jury, and individual jury member, is required to meet a strict set of criteria regarding professional background, as well as diversity in gender and age. No member of a national jury was permitted to be related in any way to any of the competing acts in such a way that they cannot vote impartially and independently.{{cite web |title=How the Eurovision Song Contest works |url=https://eurovision.tv/about/how-it-works |publisher=European Broadcasting Union |access-date=22 May 2024}} The individual rankings of each jury member as well as the nation's televoting results were released shortly after the grand final.
