She concludes that Unzipped is a "smart, spiky documentary".{{cite web |author=Maslin |first=Janet |author-link=Janet Maslin |date=4 August 1995 |title=FILM REVIEW; A Madcap Maestro Of Haute Couture |url=https://www.nytimes.com/1995/08/04/movies/film-review-a-madcap-maestro-of-haute-couture.html |newspaper=The New York Times}}
