In Mandaeism, Urfeil and Marfeil (or ʿUrpʿil and Marpʿil; {{langx|myz|ࡏࡅࡓࡐࡏࡉࡋ ࡅࡌࡀࡓࡐࡏࡉࡋ}}) are a pair of uthras (angel or guardian) in the World of Light that are always mentioned together. They are mentioned in Books 3 and 5 (Chapter 1) of the Right Ginza,{{cite book |url=https://livingwaterbooks.com.au/product/ginza-rba/ |last1=Gelbert |first1=Carlos |title=Ginza Rba |year=2011 |publisher=Living Water Books |location=Sydney |isbn=9780958034630}} as well as in Qulasta prayer 168.{{Cite book|title=The Canonical Prayerbook of the Mandaeans|last=Drower|first=E. In Right Ginza 5.1, Yawar Ziwa appoints Urfeil and Marfeil over the east to watch over Ur.

Etymology

The name Marfeil is cognate with the Hebrew word {{lang|he|מַרפֵּא}} {{Transliteration|he|marpe}}, which means 'healing.'
