I am currently a Wikipedia editor engaging in fixing/correcting, adding more information, adding citations/sources, and nominating articles with these contributions. I focus on association football players, historical monarchs, historical battles, historical nations, and also adjusting certain individuals that are still currently alive. I plan on expanding this selection, but that is currently my main focus. As I gain more experience on this, I will pursue larger projects, such as nominating articles to A-Class or Featured Article status. Nevertheless, as my edit count grows, which is currently 500+, I will be able to edit more articles, and I do look forward to such thing.
Personal Description
I am from Southampton, New York, though I never really lived in this city. My origins are rather in Hampton Bays, New York. I lived in Turkey for all my childhood, about 7 years, specifically in Adana. I truly enjoy the sight of Turkey and cherish the historical landmarks and natural structures of the country. I started my university years at the age of 17, as I started academics earlier than many of my colleagues. I was quite lucky enough to get accepted to Columbia University, mainly thanks to my father. I would go on to major in Computer Science with a bachelor's degree of 4 years and minoring in History. I chose this path, as I was quite fascinated with technology and the development of software on a computer (including websites, coding in general, etc.). I see history as something I study and learn on my personal time, including Astronomy. I gained interest in Association Football in the teenage years of my life. The main motivation for this was Lionel Messi, a player that I still idolize. Perhaps I could pursue such path, who knows. After my graduation, I moved to Germany, where I still currently reside. I am quite the traveler, and my favorite location would be Istanbul. I plan on traveling more locations as the years go by, making an abundance memories.
History on Wikipedia
I am a Wikipedia user that is originally from 2014, but due to some technical mishaps with my mobile, I lost my older account, and I had to make the one you see now, in 2017. At the time, I was a mere reader of Wikipedia, looking through hundreds of articles, being fascinated. Though in the end, I felt I could improve things, as I saw some mistakes in those articles. It should not be a surprise that I am someone who truly enjoys history. If you see me in the edit history of articles, it will most likely be related to a monarch or a medieval kingdom/empire. I plan to largely improve their articles, especially the ones I truly focus on.
