I am a research scientist studying insects, ticks and the arboviruses they transmit, particularly bluetongue virus, African horse sickness virus, African swine fever virus, Rift Valley fever virus and Schmallenberg virus. I use a mixture of laboratory, field-based and computational approaches. I am still new to Wikipedia so apologise in advance for any mistakes I make.
