== Personal ==

Gretchen Rachel Hammond was born in Manchester, England. She had a very good relationship with her father. After coming to the United States in 1988, Rachel was asked where she wanted to live. After listing places like New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, she was sent to New Albany, Indiana, United States. In 2000, Rachel joined Fox News as a film-critic.

Career

Gretchen Rachel Hammond did some freelancing in her beginning years and later, started her first legitimate job as Director of Development and Public Relations for Theatre on the Square. Following this position, Gretchen Rachel Hammond worked for WNIN Fox 59 as a film-critic and producer. From 2006 through 2011, Gretchen Rachel Hammond worked as the Assistant Director of Development at Golden Apple Foundation. After holding this position, Gretchen went on for 2 years to work as Director of Development for Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. From 2013 through 2017, Gretchen Rachel Hammond worked for the Windy City Times in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Currently, Rachel is working as a contributing writer for Tablet Magazine.

Context

Gretchen Rachel Hammond was let go from Windy City Times in Chicago, Illinois, United States after reporting the fact that three women were kicked out of the 2017 Dyke march for carrying rainbow flags with Jewish stars all over them.
