Cynnydd is a welsh word translating in English to mean 'increase' or 'advance'. (Thought it would be a suitable username!)

As somebody with an interest in ancient and mediæval history, and a regular Wiki reader I thought I would have a go and try to add to some historical articles. And as I live in North Wales, and love it here, I would start with local historical items. Although once you start wandering around Wiki its amazing where you end up and what you get to contribute to! Like the Siege of Colchester... but now I've done some local things too...
