Templates with nowrap problems
This page lists templates with obvious nowrap problems. (Mostly navboxes.) Templates in this list use one or two but not all three of these nowrap templates:
- {{tl|nowrap begin}}
- {{tl|·wrap}}, {{tl|·w}} or {{tl|wrap}} etc.
- {{tl|nowrap end}}
This compilation was made 2008-03-26 and has 228 items. It is based on the "what links here" lists for each of the nowrap templates and compiled by hand in a text editor and using a sort program etc.
Correct nowrap usage is like this:
{{nowrap begin}}Link and text{{·wrap}} Link and text{{nowrap end}}
Or like this:
{{nowrap begin}}
Link and text{{·wrap}}
Link and text
{{nowrap end}}
Note that there should be no space before the {{tlc|·wrap}} or it will render double spaces before the dot. Preferably use one space or a newline after {{tlc|·wrap}} so it wraps in the edit window, thus making editing easier. (Spaces after the {{tlc|·wrap}} don't render as double spaces after the dot.) If you prefer, instead of {{tlc|·wrap}} you can of course use the shorter {{tlc|·w}}.
Not all link lists need to use {{tlf|nowrap begin}} + {{tlf|·w}} + {{tlf|nowrap end}}, some work fine with simply the {{tn|·}}. But if in doubt, use {{tlf|nowrap begin}} + {{tlf|·w}} + {{tlf|nowrap end}}.

When you have fixed an item then update this list by changing the </s> that comes before the item to a <s>. That is, remove the "/" before the item, but don't touch the "/" after the item. (Yes, its an ugly hack, but its efficient.)
