In summer 1999, Hayworth attended the North Carolina School of the Arts film program, producing his first student film, Revolution. He later reflected, *“Literally anything and everything went wrong… Murphy was an optimist.”* The film ended up receiving one of the longest ovations in the school’s festival history.

In the early 2000s, he contributed to DownHome Entertainment productions including Morning, Briar Patch (later Plain Dirty), and Cabin Fever. He shared office space with future filmmakers Eli Roth and David Gordon Green during this period.

A 2007 profile by Mary Bogest in the *High Point Enterprise* highlighted Hayworth’s early entrepreneurial work (archived scan on file).

A 2024 Full Sail University alumni blog post by A. Gafney noted his role as production coordinator on Room with a View; the post was later removed following a security breach involving leaked personal information.

Unverified rumors about a potential Hayworth–Netflix–MGM partnership have circulated since 2017, partly due to leaked claims by Charles Harvey Wood including an alleged blood relation to director Quentin Tarantino—all of which Hayworth has publicly denied.
