Yes, I do consider myself to have a conflict of interest when it comes to editing a WP article on the http://www.rickross.com/reference/brainwashing/brainwashing19.html totalist, aberrant religious group I used to belong to, the University Bible Fellowship. I am the point of contact for the web sites http://exubf.info and http://exubf.blogspot.com .

:A note related to that COI discussion: UBF was already a recognized student organization at Loyola University when the arrest of a UBF recruiter and harassment complaint brought by a student resulted in UBF no longer being allowed to "fish" on the campus premises. How do I know? Because I used to go UBF fishing there and was told that "we" weren't allowed to fish on the campus grounds like we used to, per Loyola U. authorities. As far as I know, UBF remained a student organization at Loyola after this. The arrest I speak of was the second time that I know of that UBF members were arrested on the Loyola U. campus. Is this verifiable information? I guess you'd have to verify it with the administration and campus police.

::Addendum: Being a recognized student organization buys you zero credibility. There are free speech and free exercise of religion considerations in America that allow destructive and totalist groups to be recognized student orgs at [http://www.cultsoncampus.com/campusinfo.html colleges and universities] all across this great nation of ours.

::But this is absurd. Eerogg has been gone for months, and Easternroot (unlike you) has been scrupulous in confining his participation here to the talk page as per WP:COI. The article is already quite generous in giving space to material based on UBF's own sources. Apart from that stuff, there is nothing on this article that is not supported by reliable sources (newspaper articles and the like); all the apologetics.com and rickross.com stuff is gone, and so it's a bit rich to say that the experiences of former members are somehow trumping your own.
