I'm a linguist by trade. I currently live and work in New York City. From 2007–2013 I lived in Ithaca, New York while working on my PhD in linguistics at Cornell University. At Cornell I designed and taught a course on constructed languages.

I enjoy following sports, especially my University of Michigan Wolverines. I also follow Italian football (soccer), and help maintain articles on those topics, particularly the Coppa Italia articles and, when I feel like it, S.S. Lazio season articles.
