Doug Barron is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions and has played on the PGA Tour. Barron has won three tournaments on the PGA Tour Champions, including one major championship, the 2024 Tradition.

Biography

Barron filed a lawsuit against the tour, which was settled the following year. He was granted a therapeutic use exemption for testosterone, and the suspension was removed. Barron subsequently played professionally through 2012.

In 2019, Barron joined the PGA Tour Champions. He participated in the Senior Open Championship, making it into the field through a qualifying event, and posted a top-five finish. The following year, he won his first major championship on the tour, the Tradition. With a four-round total of 271 strokes (17 under par), he defeated Steven Alker by two strokes, securing his third career professional win.
