I am a historian working mainly on Britain. My other subjects of interest/study include English 16th-17thC history, colonial American history, including early California. More recently I have been teaching women's history so paying more attention to relevant pages. However, my interests are quite wide and eclectic.

I try only to make corrections that are simple and straightforward, or easily referenced. I am not super confident technically - as you can see from this page alone and this odd text box - so I rarely try to play with templates, info boxes etc, and appreciate help when I see changes needed in such places! I get frustrated with vandalism, and more recently with rude users (espec unpleasant admins and those who swear on talk pages). I try to respect all my fellow Wikipedians, and that is always my starting point, though sometimes editors make it difficult! :)
