This page documents a problem I encountered while viewing the Get a mac page. The problem occurred in the page's "External Links" section.

  • [http://www.example.org link title]
  • [http://www.google.com/ Google]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads Get A Mac Ads]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads Get A Mac Ads] attempt #2
  • [http://www.yahoo.com/ Yahoo] This is Yahoo!

produces:

  • [http://www.example.org link title]
  • [http://www.google.com/ Google]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads Get A Mac Ads]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads Get A Mac Ads] attempt #2
  • [http://www.yahoo.com/ Yahoo] This is Yahoo!

BUT this:

  • [http://www.example.org link title]
  • [http://www.google.com/ Google]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ Get A Mac Ads]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ Get A Mac Ads] attempt #2
  • [http://www.yahoo.com/ Yahoo] This is Yahoo!

produces:

  • [http://www.example.org link title]
  • [http://www.google.com/ Google]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ Get A Mac Ads]
  • [http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ Get A Mac Ads] attempt #2
  • [http://www.yahoo.com/ Yahoo] This is Yahoo!

The differing entries are caused by the ending / (forward slash) character, but I do not know why.
