I am always under the pseudonym of 'Jaguar' on everything on the internet, whether it be the actual noun or a slight variation. My first ever edit on Wikipedia was in April 2008 as an IP. My compulsion to make an account came in June 2009, when I discovered an astonishing lack of coverage in the area I was interested in. I don't remember what I was doing then (I was 13 at the time), but judging from my contributions, I seemed to have completely forgot about Wikipedia until I rediscovered the place and started editing properly in April 2010. That was when I became a fully fledged contributor and started creating over two hundred stubs on various settlements. My work in mid 2010 was somewhat seclusive; I was still confined to expanding or creating a lot of articles related to that area.
I was initially put off because I had a lack of knowledge of Wikipedia's guidelines and my article-building skills weren't very admirable in my early teens, so I disengaged for a while. In a spare of the moment decision in September 2010, I founded WikiProject Wiltshire (the last county to have its own project). In January 2011, I got influenced with the Somerset project and improved content on a much larger scale, which ultimately helped me become a better editor. In late 2011 I got acquainted {{u|Dr. Blofeld}}, who inspired me to take a new line of editing, which I did throughout the rest of that year. I left Wikipedia briefly in November 2011 to focus on my last year of school and dealing with changes, but perhaps regrettably returned a few months later. Due to a dramatic experience in May 2012, I was compelled to leave Wikipedia and subsequently retired in July 2012. I became embittered by it all, but came back to life in early 2014, with still no idea why. I re-acquainted myself with old friends and focussed almost wholly on content.
My interest used to be video games. I enjoyed the simplicity of writing them, but have since moved on to topics of a more grandeur scope. These range from history (particularly the early 20th century; Pax Britannica, imperial Germany, and the Russian Revolution) to sociopolitical figures (particularly less blasé thinkers), old computer hardware, and most importantly - Hampshire villages. My general disillusionment with Wikipedia will never wane, but I believe that a difference can be made, if trod carefully.
