I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, live in Seattle and am a native speaker of English . My academic background is in Mechanical Engineering (BS from Clarkson University) and Aero/Astro Engineering (MS from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). My interests are in the computer aided engineering, specifically in composite materials and fracture mechanics. I work professionally in this area developing related software and occasionally spend off time contributing to the open source finite element analysis application Calculix.
