My name: James M. Branum.
My old wikpedia username (2004-2005): User:Jmbzinedotcom
I edit at several different wikis so I have created a page at [http://jmb.shoutwiki.com/wiki/User:Jmb | http://jmb.shoutwiki.com/wiki/User:Jmb] that provides more information than is provided here.
COI Disclosure: (adapted from one by User:Jeff Bedford) In the interest of best adhering to Wikipedia's WP:COI guideline, and also taking into account guidance outlined in the plain and simple conflict of interest guide, I find it important to disclose upfront that, where appropriate, I do some editing on topics related to some of the organizations that I work with and/or volunteer with. While I am not paid for any form of wikipedia editing, it is obvious that I still have a COI and should report that. These organizations include the Military Law Task Force of the National Lawyers Guild, Courage to Resist, GI Rights Network, and the Society for Humanistic Judaism. My policy on editing on topics where I have a COI, is to always first post on the discussion page before making live edits that might be controversial. Fundamentally I am a wikipedia editor because I want to advance Wikipedia's aims of building a neutral, well-sourced free encyclopedia, and will not at any point allow my own interests to supersede those of the project. I have carefully read through Wikipedia's policies regarding neutral point of view, verifiability and reliable sources, and see it as crucial to follow these and the other core content and conduct policies to the greatest extent possible. I am also aware of the notability guidelines.
Here are a few special pages, mostly for my own reference:
