Kimo is on the faculty at Columbia College, Chicago. He holds an MA in Management and a BA from Berklee College in Boston.

As a composer, he has released four CDs of original works, including works that have been performed by major symphony orchestras including, Detroit, Atlanta, Savannah, Philadelphia and Indianapolis.

Kimo founded the United States Veterans Art Program that provides artistic tools (guitars, cameras, art supplies etc.) for wounded service members.

With his creative partner/wife Carol, they donates their time in support of veterans through USVAP.

Kimo is a 2007-2012 Fulbright Specialist in Vietnam.

He co-founded the Lt Dan Band with actor Gary Sinise, performing worldwide.

He is currently devoting his creative energies to multi-media production, composing and photography.
